Description

16th century, ruin. Stepped L-plan, 39' 2" x 27' 8". 3-storey main block with 4-storey jamb 20' square, whin rubble with ashlar dressings, entrance rebuilt; heavily corbelled cornice for parapet walk over stair tower; remains of corbelled angle rounds S angles. Associations with Cardinal Beaton and Mary Bethune.
