Description

1831. High single span rubble bridge; dressed rubble arch
ring springing from natural rock abutments; shallow end
butresses; tooled rubble parapet to low cope; slightly
splayed approaches.
Later cast-iron ties.
Approximate span; 50'.

Statement of Interest

Replaced bridge sited lower down stream destroyed during

1829 floods.
