Description

William Adam, dated 1744. Tall single span bridge; squared
tooled granite, tooled granite ashlar dressings. Granite
ashlar arch ring flanked by pilastered buttresses; masonry
causeways link bridge with sides of gorge. Band course; square
inscribed plaque (damaged) set in centre of N face of parapet;
unusual interlocking keyed and tooled ashlar cope to parapet.
Height: 64'.
Span: 84'.

Statement of Interest

Burn of Cullen forms boundary between Cullen and Rathven

parishes. Change of Category B to A, 25.4.89
