Description

Probably early/mid 19th century with early 19th century
refronting. 2-storey, 3-bay house with rear wing part of
earlier house. Coursed square rubble with harled gables.
Some 12-pane glazing survives to rear. Central door and
window above altered. Steeply pitched hipped roof, broad end
stacks.
Steading: early 19th century in manner of Archibald Simpson.
E-plan steading, part single, part 2-storey. Left range
pinned rubble, remainder mainly granite ashlar. Centre block
2 storey with 3 cart arches and loft over, gable end with
broad band courses and consoled dummy window, deep eaves in
imitation of pediment.
Cattle court to right with square gate piers. Right range
contained cottage and remnants of water mill, this part now
ruinous. Slate roofs throughout.
