Description

W L Carruthers, 1901. Single storey, 3-bay house fronted
by lean-to single storey, 3-bay kennels. Rubble, tooled
ashlar dressings. Entrance to cottage via single storey,
2-bay porch at W gable; slightly advanced and corniced
bipartite in E gable. Round-headed dormers break
wallhead in outer bays and in E and W gables; multi-pane
glazing. Centre coped wallhead; piended slate roofs.
Coped gable walls extend frontwards to form enclosed
yard fronting house, descending in height in front of
kennels with shaped detailing. Outer W kennel yard still
enclosed with cast-iron railing, remainder incorporated
in cottage garden.
