Description

William Lees probably based on sketch by Burn 1834-35. West
wing 1843. Quadrangular, open to south. Rubble built with
tooled dressings, slate roofs. Symmetrical north elevation
with central basket arched pend under crow-stepped gable,
outer bays wider and gabled. Various alterations to openings
when converted to residential use including flat roofed
dormers. Twin open enclosures in courtyard. Circular
horsemill (no machinery) at north east.
