Description

Circa 1860. Bryce/Peddie & Kinnear barge boarded Jacobethan
type. Tall, 2-storey snecked rubble with broached ashlar
dressings, set off at base course, moulded openings to front,
chamfered margins to sides. South elevation is L-plan,
2-storey one window advanced gable right, mullioned
bipartites with rectangular Tudor hood moulds and blind attic
light. On left, wide 2-storey 4-light canted bay, corbelled
to gablet head rising above eaves with blind arched attic
light. Single-storey porch set diagonally in angle with
4-panelled door, chamfered window over to left. One window
west gable, 2-window gable centre of east flank.
Single-storey rear range same style with door in recessed
link to east. Broad-eaved slated roof, fanciful openwork,
barge boards with pendants at top. Original glazing, lying
panes to front. 12-pane sashes on the flanks. Corniced ashlar
end stacks.
