James Matthews 1876 for J Mackenzie Baronial 3-storey and
attic/4-storey with tower and turrets, granite, partly
ashlar, partly squared granite rubble and partly harled.
Ornate band course and 2nd floor level at original parts,
bay windows. Some good Elizabethan ceilings and late 18th
century chimney piece from old house. Converted to hospital
and extended. Matthews and Mackenzie 1889, further
additions since.
