Description

Probably 1753 in present form, perhaps incorporating older
work. 2-storey coursed boulder rubble square plan garden
house (survivor of 2), forestair to 1st floor room with key-
stoned chimneypiece. Garden wall much ruined.

Statement of Interest

Within the garden a table sundial dated AS IP 1767, not

originally at Barra; a head sundial of related type to the

Forgue and Ellon 3-head dials, together with a lions head

form Disblair; and in the forecourt a sphere sundial on a

corner baluster from Christ's Hospital London (dem. 1902-3).
