Description

William and John Smith 1877-9, S.W. spire completed A.H.L.
Mackinnon 1896. Gothic, large, with transepts and hall to E.
Pinned rubble, red sandstone dressings, W. window with plate
tracery. Interior has W. gallery, hammerbeam roof and slim
iron columns at transepts. Mears and Stainbank bell 1894.

Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. On the tower wall is

an early 18th century tablet to Alex Ross, minister of

Auchterless, a grotesque head and a heart shaped sundial

presumably from the previous church.
