Description

Late 18th-early 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier
fabric. Roughly L-plan 2-storey former mill with kiln at S
arm of later build now used as pottery. Rubble, tooled
rubble dressings. 1st floor entrance in E gable approached
by stone forestair; wheel gable at W with dummy wheel.
Ridge louvre to kiln; slate roof.
FORMER STEADING: single storey, long low 3-bay former
steading; rubble with tooled rubble dressings. 3 doorways
in long E elevation and further entrance in N gable;
pantiled roof with large loft lights. Now used as
dwellinghouse.

Statement of Interest

The interior of the mill is partially gutted and no machinery

survives. Miller's house (mid-19th century) now roofless.
