Description

Circa 1822. Lodge and gateway with granite wall continuing
from Hensol Bridge parapet to form entrance to Hensol House.
T-plan single storey and attic picturesque asymmetrical
gabled gothic lodge. Rubble walling with granite margins and
detailing.
S elevation with advanced gabled bay to right with pointed
arch doorway with hoodmould, neo-gothic timber door.
Tripartite mullioned windows to right. Mullioned bipartite to
gable with multi-pane glazing. To left, modern plate glass
window.
W gable with 4-pane sash and case window to left, buttressed
stack rising to 2 tall stacks linked at top.
Rear elevation with 20th century lean-to rubble extension,
slate roofs.
Gables with coping and skewputts, finials to apex. Slate
roofs, tall corniced stacks.
