Description

Probably late 18th century. Picturesque estate bridge, single
segmental arch, carrying driveway between Mount Annan and
Cleuchead over Butcherbeck Burn, above River Annan. Coursed
and squared rubble with droved, stugged or polished
dressings. Narrow pavement below bridge on either side of
stream, with alcove niches in abutments underneath arch. Band
courses at impost level continued below arch; parapets
supported above recessed arch rings on square blocking;
shallow ramped parapets slightly splayed at approaches.

Neglected (1987). Also in Hoddom Parish.
