Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey tollhouse, set on slope, with basement at rear (east). West elevation: stugged grey ashlar with polished margins (flanks cherry-caulked and snecked red ashlar); canted 3-bay centre (originally crenellated) with door left with fanlight, single window right. Sash windows with 12-pane glazing pattern; eaves band; corniced central axial stack; piended roof, with projecting eaves, covered with graded slates. Modern glazed porch at south; low wing at east.
