Probably circa 1792. Single-arched bridge with small flood arch to N and curved wing walls over Calair Burn. Parapet wall rises to shallow triangular point at centre. The bridge is of considerable historic interest and occupies a prominent position on the road between Balquhidder and Strathyre.
Materials: random rubble. Roughly squared rubble to parapet copes and voussoirs.
This is probably one of the 5 bridges mentioned in the Old Statistical Account as 'built this year upon rapid burns in different parts of the parish by subscriptions'. Kirkton Bridge is likely to have been built at the same time, and has a similar pointed parapet. No bridge is shown in this position on John Thomson's map of 1827, but this is not a reliable indication that no bridge existed then as he does not mark the back road between Strathyre and Balquhidder or Strathyre bridge, which is known for certain to have been completed in 1780.
