Description

Probably early 19th century. Long rectangular-plan grain
mill; internal machinery survives; ground slopes down towards
east. Whitewashed rubble and dressings. Iron wheel off-centre
on long south wall, with exterior gearing; water carried from
west through concreted fireclay pipe raised high on solid
rubble-built aquaduct. 3 small square windows at upper level
of south wall. Large rectangular opening off-centre on north
wall, smaller opening, beyond slit vent, to right; door to
left below 2 square window openings. Corrugated iron roof.
Slate-roofed lean-to against west gable.
