Mid 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier house. 2-storey with attic, 3-bay, squared and coursed stugged cream sandstone with ashlar dressings. Panelled door to centre with strip fanlight, windows flanking. 3 windows at 1st floor, high under eaves. 2 wooden gabled, canted dormers with overhanging eaves. Sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Grey slates to steeply pitched roof, straight skew and ashlar coped to left. Low rubble ashlar coped wall enclosing front garden.
Vertical emphasis and steeply pitched roof suggest an earlier house of 18th century re-fronted with openings enlarged in mid 19th century, or possibly single storey with steeply pitched roof, as is the cottage to the left, later refaced and raised.
