Description

Foster Lovell & Lodge of London c1910. Large 2-storey and
attic arts-and-crafts mansion of Voysey school, built of
plastered local rubble with Auchenheath dressings at and
around the main entrance, slated roofs. Main entrance front
is to SW, gables at each end with canted bays through both
floors, no margins, wooden mullioned and transomed openings
with leaded glass, now largely reglazed particularly on S
where mullions and transomes have been removed; open
segmentally canopied centre porch with sculptured tympanum,
large stair window of 4 lights on right fenestration
otherwise random with Auchenheath margins and mullions and
leaded glass; 2-window NW gable with asymmetrical ground
floor outshot full width of gable, SE gable has asymmetrical
chimney and piended 2-storey 2-window outshot on E, glazed
porch in re-entrant angle. High slated roof, broad-eaved
except at gables but with short returns on to NW and SE
gables.
