Description

Dated EM 1900. Sizeable Scots Jacobean mansion, 2 storey
with dormer heads, harled with stone dressings and crowstepped
12 and 18 pane sashes. East entrance front has cleft (to
right) advanced 1-window section with crowstepped gablet,
circular conical, roofed entrance tower in re-entrant
angle with flinted Doric pilastered doorpiece, 3-light
mullioned and transomed stair window and 2 bays with round
arched luggage entrance and pedimented dormerheads; lower
set back wing beyond, 4 1st floor windows with dormerheads,
3rd 2 light semi circular pediment irregular fenestration
below; single storey octagonal pavilion of earlier date
extreme right with lying panes. South elevation has
circular corner tower to left, pedimented dormer head
window over round arched window centre 3-light oriel
over porch ground floor windows and crowstepped gable with
3-window bow. Simpler west front with Terrace. Slated roofs.
