Description

Circa 1820/30. Originally 2 cottages, now one. Single-
storey rubble with splayed margins 4-window front (end
windows in advanced gablets) with centre porch of 3 log
columns with scalloped valance at eaves. Windows have
wooden mullions and transoms. Piend roof, broad eaves,
brick chimney and other recent alterations.

Statement of Interest

Ardoch Cottage has been similar but is in ruins; Gunnocks

farm has also had merit, slightly later with symmetrical

W. frontage. Horsemill demolished, going to ruin in 1968.
