Description

Mid-late 18th century with later repairs, currently (1990) derelict. "-storey stable block, random rubble with red and cream sandstone dressings, brick relieving arches at ground. 3 doorways, irregular openings; window to each outer bay, 2 windows flanking central door. 2 windows at 1sr floor. 2 windows to N gable end, evidence of former single storey addition to S. Sash and case windows, 12-pane glazing pattern. Formerly with grey slates, straight skews, ashlar coped stacks. Stall divisions, and sets to floor inside.

Statement of Interest

Part of Gilmerton Home Farm; Gothick style screen between house and farm listed separately, some single storey cottages also survice in ruinous state. 8-arched cartshed and granary now converted to housing (listed separately).
