Description

1880-5. Terraced pair of 2-storey houses with attic and centre pend. Stugged squared and snecked grey sandstone, base and band courses, stone mullions to bipartites. Central segmental arched vehicular pend, studded wooden carriage door encompassing smaller pedestrian doorway. Doorways flanking with panelled doors. Bipartites to outer bays at ground and 1st floor. Single windows above doors at 1st floor, plaque with trefoil motif to centre. 3 piend-roofed slate hung canted dormers. Sash and case windows with plate glass and 2-pane glazing patterns. Grey slates, coped ashlar skews and stacks. Decorative cast-iron gutter brackets. Brick forestair with iron railings at rear, leading to door at centre above pend.

Listed for contribution to line of Main Street and survival of original form. Probably an earlier house on the site (see mapwork).
