Description

Pre 1854. 7-bay cartshed and granary. Coursed rubble with with droved ashlar quoins and margins. Segmental arches with semicircular stones over dividing piers. Hayloft above with hoist window at centre flanked by 3 maller openings. Door to granary in W gable to right, entrance obscured but part of forestair evident. 3 small granary openings to S. W gable with partially derelict outer rubble skin exposing cartshed wall, evidence of link section (possibly to older building) with long and shortwork quoins on slightly advanced face to S.

1st floor openings mainly with timber louvres, remains of 6-pane glazing pattern in windows over 3rd bay from left and outer openings at rear. Grey slates. Ashlar coped skews and block skewputts.

Statement of Interest

Originally part of the Orrock farm, this building adjoins the NW boundary wall of the 'B' listed Orrock farmhouse.
