Circa 1847. Small burial ground enclosed by coped rubble wall
with pair plain cast-iron gates at W. In centre tooled
grey granite ashlar corniced plinth with long/short detailing
against which are set tombstones and plaques, the earliest
dated 1847. Various other later family tombstones, within
enclosure.
Major Evan MacPherson, who made money in India and who
built Glentruim House about 1835-40, died 22 Jan. 1847
and is buried here. Commanding site on high ground overlooking
upper Spey valley.
