Earlier 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay house, extended by 1
bay to E circa 1840, and adjoined by later single storey
addition at W side. Roughly squared and snecked red rubble
sandstone with painted ashlar margins; base course to W gays,
and hoodmoulds to circa 1840 windows.
N (STREET) ELEVATION: pilastered doorpiece to doorway at
centre of 3-bay house, flanked by windows, and with windows
to each bay at 1st floor. 2 narrow windows at ground in E
extension, with 1 window at 1st floor. Single storey base
slightly recessed, with doorway flanked by windows and
further window to outer right.
E GABLE: blank at ground with 2 blind 1st floor windows and
narrow slit, below moulded corbelling of gable head stack.
Harled W gables and rear, with modern additions to the
latter.
12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Gable end
stacks; ashlar coped skews with skewputts to E gable; slates.
Corbel form used in E gable stack echoes that on cottages in
Spott village of a similar date.
