Description

Early 19th century. Pair of single storey cottages, each of
3-bays, with earlier 3-bay cottage adjoined to Mulberry Cottage at E.
Red rubble with ashlar dressings; harling to Glen Cottage and
to rears.
N (STREET) ELEVATION: each cottage with doorway at centre
flanked by windows. Lower eaves to earlier bays adjoined to
Orcadia, with former door at centre blocked as window.
Flat-roofed addition to W gable of Glen Cottage. Alterations
to rears.
Variety of glazing patterns, mostly modern. Ashlar coped
skews to steeply pitched gables; gable end and mutual gable
stacks; pantiles.

Statement of Interest

Despite the harling applied to Glen Cottage, the original

character of the pair is largely retained.

Mulberry Cottage formerly known as 'Orcadia'.
