Description

Early 19th century core, with later 19th century additions
with alterations 3 storeys, wide irregular south facing 6
bay. Front all harled with contrasting painted margins and
some ashlar dressings. 3 near centre bays with entrance, and
with later 19th century oriels flanking centre pedimented
window in 2nd storey; wide projecting outer bay to right
(east) with later ashlar canted bay window rising full height
and terminating with pediment, with decorative scroll
detailing flanking saltire. Similarly treated outer wing to
extreme left (west), polygonal bay in re-entrant rising 4
storeys and terminating with facetted piended roof.
projecting outer bays linked at 1st floor level by decorative
cast-iron balcony supported by paired turned wooden columns.
Mainly 2-pane glazing with multi-pane upper sashes; margined
paired centre ridge stacks; corniced wallhead stacks; slate
roofs.
