J Russell Burnett (Cameron and Burnett), 1909-11. Large 3-storey and attic, U-plan hotel. Harled with timber frame detailing in attic storey. 12-bay SE frontage with projecting 2-bay angle towres rising to tall dormered and finialled steeply pitched roofs; 2 gabled centre bays, continuous balcony at 1st floor with cast-iron balustrade. U-plan court

to rear with centre entrance under canopy linking outer arms of U. Mainly tripartites and bipartites with 2-pane glazing. Dormers front and rear; end ridge corniced stacks; slate roof.
