Later 19th century, pair square open work cast-iron gate
piers topped by circular glazed lamp bowls set in swagged
frames. Pair matching cast-iron decorated cast-iron carriage
gates. Flanking matching pedestrian gates with design
incorporating letter M.
Gates flank entrance to Guisachan farm, the drive also
continuing to Guisachan House, now ruinous. This was the
property of Sir Dudley Coutts Marjoribanks and Lady
Marjoribanks, later 1st Lord and Lady Tweedmouth.
