A & W Reid, additions and alterations, 1856-60 incorporating
earlier 19th century single storey 3-bay cottage. Long
symmetrical S facing single storey and attic range with
shallow centre U-plan court. All grey rubble with tooled
rubble dressings; former cottage, in centre of range, has
pinned rubble front. Centre round-headed entrance in
slightly advanced gabled and bargeboarded porch, flanked to
right (E) by window and carriage house and to left (W) by
window, door and window. 2-bay return gables to centre court; bargeboarded end gables with ground and 1st floor windows,
flanked right (E) by 3 carriage houses and left (W) by 3-
bay cottage (formerly 3 doors, now centre door and flanking
windows). Pair bargeboarded dormers, pair coped ridge stacks;
centre louvred cupola.
Former simple 3-bay cottage extended to become stable
range; sited to west of now ruined Guisachan House.
Building now serves as holiday accommodation; 3 carriage
houses to east retain large double doors, masking modern
glazing and serving as shutters.
