Description

Late 18th to early 19th century. Single storey and attic (breaking eaves), 3-bay cottage in irregular terrace. Harled with stone margins.

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Centre bay with steps up small timber porch and boarded timber door, windows in flanking bays and 3 pedimented dormer windows breaking eaves above.

Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans, some polygonal. Plain narrow bargeboarding.

Statement of Interest

Formerly known as 'Barnlee'. Groome says that 'Lilliesleaf is among the prettiest of Border villages' with a variety of thatched and slated cottages interspersed with 'new villas'.
