Description

Charles Doig, circa 1900. S facing terrace of 5 pairs of
single storey and attic, 2-bay cottages with secondary
entrances in outer bays. Pinned mixed rubble, tooled ashlar
dressings. Piended roofs swept low over side elevations with
main entrance in centre of return walls, breaking wallhead
under gablet with double-leaf plank door. 4-pane glazing.
Possibly slightly later paired dormers front and back. Centre
coped stacks rise through roof N and S flanking short ridge.
Slate roofs with projecting eaves.

Built to house workers at Imperial Distillery, established

1897.

Cottages appear on 2nd ed. OS of 1903.
