Description

Dated 1858. W facing single storey and attic, 3-bay gate
lodge on sloping site revealing raised basement storey at
rear. Harled, tooled ashlar dresings and margins. Advanced
and gabled outer window sections linked by continuous swept
verandah supported by 2 simple wooden pillars. Centre door
with narrow side lights; centre gabletted dormer. Rear 2-
storey, 3-bay shallow projecting block with band course
linking wing to main house. Symmetrical fenestration; bell-
cast lean-to roof with flat skews.
Varied glazing, in front with Gothic detailing to astragals,
more elaborate to dormer; decorative bargeboards with
turned apex finials and pendants to dormers and main gables,
wave pattern to window gables. Centre coped ridge stack;
slate roofs with projecting bargeboarded eaves.
Lean-to extension at N Gable.
