Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse with flanking

single storey, narrow 2-bay wings returning to rear to form back courtyard. Coursed, roughly squared granite rubble.

Centre door; 12-pane glazing, modern window inserted in N

wing; garage doors slapped S wing. 2 modern dormers to rear;

end stacks to main house, ridge stack to S wing; piended

slate roof, some Tomintoul slating survives.

Statement of Interest

Ruthven one of four farms in parish where "considerable

improvement has been made within last 20 years. The buildings are.......very substantial and commodious".
