Description

Dated 1834. Single storey 4-bay school with single storey and attic 3-bay schoolhouse adjoining. Coursed, squared whin rubble, with contrasting long and short ashlar dressings. School has off-centre gabled porch with door in re-entrant angle, and 30-pane sashes. Schoolhouse has central recessed panelled door with rectangular fanlight: inserted opening to right of door; 12-pane sashes in ground floor of outer bays, 9-pane sashes with gabled dormer-heads above. Straight skews; corniced end stacks and slated roofs. 2 axial roof vents over school.
