Description

Alexander Reid, A & W Reid, Elgin, 1850. Gabled, single storey and attic, L-plan gate lodge. Harled, tooled granite ashlar chamfered margins and dressings. Gabled porch in SW re-entrant angle; shallow projecting rectangular window in W elevation (facing drive): ashlar canopy to S gable window. Original lying-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Later piended dormer with multi-pane glazing. Centre ridge battery of 3 coped axial stacks mounted on margined rectangular base; granite apex finials; slate roofs. Coped skews and

bracketted skewputts. Single storey contemporary or near contemporary gabled wing at rear with slate roof.
