Description

Probably Alexander Reid of A & W Reid, Elgin, c.1850 with later 19th century alterations. S facing single storey and attic, 4-bay house, detached from U-plan steading (listed separately below) but occupying open end of 'U' to form hollow square. Harled rubble, tooled grey granite ashlar margins and dressings. Doorway flanked by ground floor canted windows; 4 later 19th century gabled dormers break wallhead, 1 in each outer bay and pair in centre of wallhead. Plate glass and 4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; corniced end and ridge stacks; slate roof; sandstone ridge.
