Description

Quadrangular churchyard, rubble-built walls (gate at S - 2
corniced square stugged ashlar gatepiers) enclosing mostly 18th
and 19th century headstones and site of Staplegordon church.
Many 18th century stones have good artisan sculpture.
Pinnacled Gothic Maxwell of Broomholm burial aisle now
demolished.

Staplegordon parish united with Wauchope 1703 to form Langholm

parish.
