Description

Mid 19th century. Broad-eaved single storey and attic 3-bay
former stationmaster's house, with central door, single
windows in outer bays, 1st floor windows with steep-pitched
high dormer heads. Whin rubble with contrasting painted
ashlar margins and hood-moulds. Small-paned sash windows. End
stacks; slate roof. Low rear wing also broad-eaved but with
enlarged windows.

Statement of Interest

Beattock Station now demolished. Similar house design at Carstairs.
