Description

Circa 1800; altered and extended to rear 1972. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay classical house with pedimented front. Ashlar with rusticated pilaster quoins with rosettes and fluting at frieze; raised margins. Harl to S and dry-dash to E. Base course and moulded eaves cornice. Roman Doric-columned doorpiece with splayed jambs.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: modern timber door with deep plate glass fanlight to centre at ground, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor; wallhead pediment over centre bay, and small slate-hung piended dormer windows over outer bays.

E ELEVATION: full-height stair tower with window to each floor and attic at centre, window to each floor in bay to left and extended bay to right with door and window to ground, and 2 windows at 1st floor.

N (CUPAR ROAD) ELEVATION: bridge from raised street level to door at left and window to right at 1st floor,

S ELEVATION: blocked window to left at 1st floor.

Mostly 12-pane glazing pattern in hardwood sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks and ashlar-coped skews with square skewputts.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: flat-coped rubble boundary walls with dome-coped square-section ashlar gatepiers.
