Description

Earlier 19th century. Single arch, stone-built bridge over River Bladnoch near Glassoch on Penninghame/Kirkcowan parish boundary. Bull-faced granite voussoirs, soffit and springers; otherwise all rubble spandrels and abutments. Rubble parapet with bull-faced granite coping. 40 ft span approximately carriageway slightly humpbacked and approximately 15 ft wide.

Statement of Interest

Bridge strengthend 1993 and re-painted.
