Description

Probably circa 1878. Single storey gate lodge. Snecked and
bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings. West
elevation: 3 wide bays; projecting and canted inner bay with
cross windows (leaded upper lights) and steep faceted roof,
porch in south re-entrant angle with swept roof and pointed-
arched doorway, and single angle buttress: cross window in
left bay. Transomed tripartite in south gable. Apex and wall
head stacks. Plain barge-boards. Roofed with graded slates.
3 chamfered, square, red ashlar gatepiers, narrowed below
shaped pyramidal caps: spiked cast-iron gates.
