Description

Probably earlier 19th century. 2-storey hotel; originally
4 bays, 2 narrow bays (in keeping) added to east later in
century. Painted stugged ashlar with contrasting margins:
harled west gable. Original off-centre door, simple
doorcase with block pediment, blocked window to left. Public
bar door to left bay of addition probably circa 1900, with
bracketed cornice; 2 bar windows are plate glass; other
windows all lying-pane sashes. Eaves cornice. 4 corniced
apex stacks, that over west gable rebuilt in brick./
Interior: public bar fittings, counter, seats and ceiling
all circa 1900, with art nouveau features.
