Description

Earlier 20th century; gatepiers and gates circa 1900. Single storey, irregular-plan lodge. Harled, ashlar cills, green slate roof, red brick stacks. Timber sash and case windows, multi-pane to top; deep eaves; pyramidal, bell-cast roof, half-piended at projecting bay.

E ELEVATION: door to semi-glazed integral angle porch to left, window to right, 4-light canted window to far right.

N ELEVATION: window to left; bay advanced to right, door masked by later timber porch, window to left, window to left return.

S ELEVATION: bipartite and single window to left, glazed integral porch to right.

W ELEVATION: bipartite window.

INTERIOR: no special features.

GATEPIERS, GATES AND ADJOINING WALLS: 4 pyramidal-capped, red sandstone ashlar gatepiers; 2 decorative wrought-iron main gates with star and crescent moon motif, 2 pedestrian gates similarly but less ornately detailed. Red rubble ashlar-coped adjoining walls, subsequently connected to rubble-coped policy walls.
