Description

David Neave, circa 1820. Single storey and attic, and 2-storey and attic, quadrangular-plan, classically planned stable court/steading converted to 6 residential units (1992). Rubble construction, tooled and margined ashlar dressings, grey slate roof. Modern out-of- character stained timber windows, small modern dormers with piended roofs; gabled canopy porches.

W ELEVATION: slightly advanced 2-storey and attic bay to centre with keystoned depressed carriage arch, band course and margined tripartite window to 1st floor, oculus above; bay to left with 2 doors and windows, 4 windows above, 3 dormers; bay to right with door and 3 windows, 2 windows with dormers above.

S ELEVATION: slightly advanced 2-storey and attic bay to centre with full-height slightly recessed round-headed panel, modern door and

2 irregular window openings, dovecot with 3 rows of flight holes to attic, pyramidal roof with louvred ventilator and weather cock at ridge; bays to left and right with door and window above, large timber canted windows at outer bays with swept roofs and dormers.
