Description

Central aisle of old parish kirk (built 1675, abandoned 1742) reconstructed in 1860 as burial place of Bruces of Arnot.

Oblong. Stugged ashlar. Stone-slabbed roof. Inset (with

dates) and mural tablets. Burial enclosure at N. end.

Bruces of Arnot (Portmoak) are lineally descended from Sir

William Bruce of <> who is said to have been buried in this

aisle.
