INTERIOR: stone nesting boxes in good condition.

Statement of Interest

Property of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorn. This fine dovecot is listed category 'A' for completion. Walker notes that the armorial panel and elaborate entry port appear to have been taken from some earlier structure as the stonework differs from that of the dovecot. Andrew Wright, mason to the Strathmores, was here from 1689 and was probably the builder. Mains of Rochelhill farmhouse is listed separately.
