Main block c. 1820. Georgian. 2 storeys. Harled;

Double-gabled slate roofs. Classical doorway; pediment;

columns; curious abaci. Good interior. 2 storey addition and polygonal-ended conservatory at E. Earlier house to W.

enclosing a yard.

Statement of Interest

Old house incorporated in mansion built for Captain Walter

Campbell of Foreland and Sunderland (in this parish) when he

retired from E.I.C. service. Sometimes called Sunderland

House.
