Description

Mid 19th century. Symmetrical 2-storey 3-bay house extended
in late 19th century by 1 broad bay to north. Harled, with
polished ashlar dressings. Door in slightly advanced
pedimented bay with sidelights; later porch. Porch supported
on 2 columns with foliated capitals, bracketed eaves,
fish-scale slate roof with cast-iron balustrade. Plate glass
sashes, with cill course to ground floor. Continuous cornice.
Originally with end stacks, piended slate roof now altered.
Low, single storey, 2-bay wing recessed at south. East
elevation much altered; square tower with pyramidal roof,
modern additions.
Irregular early to mid 19th century stable courtyard to south
is harled, with painted margins: north side: 3 single storey
domestic buildings, (that to west raised to give 1st floor,
with modern roof): 2 stables adjoining central cottage.
L-plan range of garages and stores, 1 segmental-headed
carriage entrance and 2 small pointed-arched windows. Slate
roofs.
