Early 18th century, probably extended in the late 18th-early 19th century. Long single-storey gabled building, on rectangular plan, built mainly of water-worn boulders, with dressed sandstone quoins and lintels. Areas of wall have collapsed owing to erosion of mortar on S side 3 doorways and 2 windows evident, with one small window towards E end. Door to W of this window has chamfered arrises and marriage lintel dated 1724, with initials AA and MA linked by a heart. An additional rybat has been added on each side to raise the lintel. Doorway near E end is similarly tooled to these rybats. N elevation has one door and one window complete with traces of a second window, all grouped towards centre of building. Small square window in E gable. Roof sarked and slated, most slates removed.
A very rare example of an early 18th century upland farm steading, with domestic accommodation at E end. B listing reflects rarity and recently unaltered condition of the building.
